ALBUM #2 UPDATE

We thought it was just about time to give all of our loyal fans a bit of an update as to what has been happening around the chaos camp, seeing as we have been out of action for a little while now, busy writing new material. 

We are happy to say that the majority of our new album, the follow up to our 2008 debut LP Avalon, is written and we are now spending the next couple of months fine tuning everything. We are pleased to say that we will be hitting the studio in June to begin recording the next Chaos Divine album. We have big plans in store for this one folks, and all the details will be released in due course...so keep your ears pricked and eyes open. 

What's it sound like? the new material is all sounding HUGE - Progressive, melodic, technical and atmospheric. Its got everything you would be expect from a CD record, but it's a slight step in a bit of a different direction for the band. It's a step that we feel will take the band to a new level and spread the Chaos even further across Australia and overseas.

HAPPY FESTIVE SEASON!

Chaos Divine would like to wish all their fans a merry Christmas and Happy new year!

The band is currently hard at work writing our second album, the follow-up to the 2008 'Avalon' LP. We can tell you that all the new tracks are sounding killer and we hope to announce plans to hit the studio in the coming few months, with a release date later in 2010.

CHAOS DIVINE TO PLAY 2009 PROGPOWER EUROPE!

Chaos Divine have been officially announced for the annual ProgPower Europe festival to be held at JC Sjiwa in Baarlo, Netherlands. To be held across 3 days on October 2,3 & 4 2009, the event boasts past acts such as Opeth, Katatonia, Cynic, Scar Symmetry, Evergrey, Threshold, Pagan's Mind, Andromeda and many more.

CHAOS DIVINE TO PLAY PERTH BIG DAY OUT!

Chaos Divine has been announced amongst the third and final list of acts to play at this years Big Day Out festival, to be held at Claremont Showgrounds, Sunday February 1 2009.

CHAOS DIVINE WINS WAM METAL/HARD ROCK SONG OF THE YEAR!

Chaos Divine has won the award for best Hard Rock/Metal song at this year's West Australian Music Industry competition, the 2008 WAM song of the year.

Chaos had a whopping 3 out of the 5 nominations in the category and the track 'Refuse The Sickness' from our recently released album 'Avalon', snapped up the trophy last night at the awards show, held at Fly By Nightclub, Fremantle.

Thanks to WAM and the judges for this very prestigeous award! also a big thanks to everyone who voted for Chaos Divine in the online public award - which unfortunately was cancelled by the WAM staff at the last minute due to some unfair voting through some of the entries in the other categories.

AVALON OUT NOW!

Well we would like to shout a massive thankyou out to everyone who got down and supported us at our launch shows. We had an absolute blast! A huge thanks also goes out to the bands who supported us, particularly the Black Asylum guys who travelled across the country to play with us - they kicked some serious ass! THANKS LADS!

We would also like to collectively thank everyone who has made the release of 'Avalon' possible. It has been a long journey to get here but just because the launch shows are over the chaos bus aint' slowin down...

CHAOS DIVINE NEW ALBUM ’AVALON’ - OUT SEPTEMBER 12 & LAUNCH SHOWS!

After more than 9 months of recording and pre-production the time is finally here..

Chaos Divine's new album will be entitled Avalon and comprises ten-tracks of progressive, technical and melodic metal. The album was recorded at Melbourne's Sing Sing studios and produced by east-coast engineer Jarrad Hearman.

Greetings people, just a quick update with our new album. The tracks have all been completely recorded and mixing and mastering is being finished up in melbourne over the next few weeks!

18/03/2008 - CHAOS DIVINE LINE-UP CHANGES

Chaos Divine wish to announce that our next gig at the Railway Hotel on March 28th for the Vespers Descent CD launch will be Chris’s last gig as beatboxer...I mean drummer. It’s a sad departure and he will be sorely missed, but unfortunately he could not continue with the job. It’s been an amazing 2 years with the man, both in terms of his drumming abilities and in terms of the incredible gigs that we have played. We wish ya all the best for the future and we fucking hope to see you on stage again in the not too distant future.

Here’s to one of the most under-rated drummers going around!

As a result of Chris’s departure, we would also like to announce the return of the mighty Ben Mazzarol to Chaos Divine. We are delighted at his return and we look forward to kicking some arse with one of Australia’s best metal drummers.

So in light of this announcement, please come along to the Railway Hotel on March 28 to support the launch of Vespers Descent’s Reality Dysfunction E.P. and also to give Chris a MASSIVE send off that he so deserves.

05/02/2008 - RECORDING BEGINS THIS WEEK!

Chaos Divine have finished all pre-production for our next release, which will be a full length album due for release in mid 2008. We are really happy with all the tracks that are going onto the cd and hope to greatly improve on and add to the success we have had with our EP, Ratio.

The band will enter Melbourne's famous Sing Sing studios this week to begin Drum recording with Melbourne based producer Jarrad Hearman.

23/08/2007 - TOUR DONE! - NEXT STOP....ALBUM!

Well we are back from tour! It was a blast and we were stoked to be able to play our music across the country. We will definately be coming back over east again really soon. Stay tuned for photos and video from the tour!

The new album is still currently in pre-production and we will be hitting it hard now unil the end of the year to get it done. All the tracks are written and sounding nice so keep coming back for studio updates!

Chaos Divine have recently been announced to play support for metal Giants Slayer and Mastodon at Robinson Pavillion (Claremont Showgrounds) on April 12. 13/02/2007 - BIG PLANS!

Greetings!

It is going to be a big year ahead for Chaos! Firstly the band will be performing as part of the upcoming WAMI 2007 2-stage showcase spectacular on February 24 at Capitol/Amplifier alongside the likes of Heavy Weight Champ, Antistatic, Subtruck and Dyscord plus many more.

Also on the cards this year will be some brand spankin new merch and tshirts, the bands first ever national tour (mid-year) in support of our 2006 debut EP, and all while the band is hard at work writing a heap of new tracks for our first full length album! More news on the merch, tour and new album will be announced in the not too distant future.

FEAR FACTORY + DEVIL DRIVER @ METROPOLIS!

As a very late suprise, Chaos Divine were added to the line-up to support Devil Driver (USA) and Fear Factory (USA) for the Perth show of their 2006 Australian tour at Metropolis Fremantle, September 19 2006. The show was a huge blast and the room was completely packed out - even for Chaos! A big thanks to everyone involved that helped us land the support slot and also for making it one of the most memorable nights in the bands history.

CHAOS DIVINE TO SUPPORT DARK TRANQUILLITY

Chaos Divine have landed their first show with an international act. On Friday September 15 at Club Capitol, Gothenburg melodic metal veteran's Dark Tranquillity will hit our shores on their very first Australian tour, 'Descending on the Easter Hemisphere 2006'. Also playing on the night will be the mighty Pathogen.

After a huge launch on Friday June 30 at the Amplifier Bar, Perth with a massive turnout, Chaos Divine's debut EP Ratio is now available from all local Perth cd stores. CHAOS DIVINE - EP LAUNCH - JUNE 30/AMPLIFIER BAR
After more than 6 months hard at work recording our debut E.P., we are finally ready to release 'RATIO'. Our debut 5 track release features more than half an hour of music that encases the first year of the bands travellings and featured on the disc is our original line-up: pre January 06 (with Ben Mazzarol on drums). The E.P. combines styles of metal, prog and alternative rock, and has been almost completely self recorded and produced by the band.

Copies of the cd will be on sale at the gig as well as some new Chaos merchandise!!

29/03/06 – Debut E.P. Ratio, coming June 2006
After more than 6 months of pre-production and recording Chaos Divine are set to release their debut E.P. Ratio. The self-produced, 5 track, 32 minute disc will be released in June 2006, and available at all good local Stores. An exact release date will be posted very shorty, aswell as details on a CD launch show, which along with a huge performance planned from Chaos Divine,Cd's and merchandise on sale, will also showcase some amazing talent in Perth heavy music from some of the finest local bands.

Welcome to the brand new Chaos Divine official homepage. It’s been a long time coming but it’s finally here. In the coming weeks stay tuned for more items and downloads to be uploaded onto the site.

The new website launch also marks the beginning of a HUGE year for Chaos with a new line-up, website, merchandise, a debut release all set for the coming months and not to mention, a new member to the Chaos Divine line-up.
We are happy to announce the arrival of drum master Chris Mitchell (ex-Headshot) to the throne to carry the band to high places in 2006!
